What kind of plastic sheet or rod material is best for me?

Polypropylene is another plastic that cannot withstand ultraviolet rays. Polypropylene, unlike Acetal, is extremely resistant to chemical and moisture. Acrylic will last for many years, but Polypropylene is more brittle than Acrylic. It becomes fragile in sunlight, and it starts to crack or craze over time. Polypropylene, although it is a strong and rigid material with excellent crack and impact resistance, will eventually succumb to chemical reactions if left exposed to the elements. Polypropylene excels at handling chemicals and food applications that neither Acrylic nor Polycarbonate sheet are well-suited for. This is because the standard grades of Polypropylene are not approved to handle food.
