The Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme will be closed on 17 March 2022.
Employers with less than 250 employees were able to reintroduce the SSPRS on 21 December 2021.
Maximum claim per employee is 2 weeks at the statutory sick pay (SSP) rate PS96.35 per semaine (PS192.70 total). Employer’s claims are also limited to the number of employees enrolled in its PAYE plan on 30 November 2021.
The government stated in a statement that it had until March 24th 2022 to file any new claims for absences up to March 17th 2022 or amend existing claims.
“You won’t be able to get back SSP for employees’ coronavirus-related absences and self-isolation after 17 March 2022.
“From the 25th March, we will be returning to the usual SSP rules. This means that you can revert back to paying SSP starting the fourth qualifying day that your employee is not at work due to sickness absence.
