Wordless Wednesday isn’t quite wordless - sorry - it’s my first time LOL
It’s not really Wednesday either! I am backdating this post, which is being done in the middle of the night on Friday LOL
TN Chick kindly notified me that it would work better to do this as a post, instead of as a “Page” which is how I did it at first, so I rearranged things.
Here is my picture:

I don’t usually participate in memes, but the ones I have are here.

I won’t be posting any more here for a week, as us hillbillies are big on honoring our dead, so I’ll be making the rounds to the cemeteries. I will be rooting for Taylor Hicks to win American Idol, but there will be plenty of other folks out there blogging about that LOL
I am going to try to visit everyone on my blogroll soon (not that y’all are dead LOL). I still haven’t had the heart to trim the list, but I’m likely to in the next week or so, as Memorial Day is a time of renewal for me. When I was a kid, it always signaled the opening of the pool, and weekends spent dragging the pop-up camper to the lake. There was the possibility of re-inventing myself to strangers, unaware of my past foibles or personas. Seeing granite tombstones that reduce someone’s life to a few stone-carved words, always made me anxious to take inventory of my own life, and make my own mark. So if you get dumped from the list, you probably weren’t linking back, you never comment here, or I found your blog no longer interesting. (I’m going on an honesty kick LOL)
I wish all of you peace and joy this day #144 of the year 2006. No one knows how many more they’ll have, so make every day count.
After all, you don’t want a dull epitaph do you? LOL

Hope you have a great weekend. After reading the post about going saling, I am not sure I will ever look at hotdogs quite the same way again. Lol

I left a comment over in Mental Excrements that touched on what you said. The Tennessee Veterans Cemetary is about 2 miles away and for the past three days, it has been interesting to watch it “bloom” with more and more flag displays and flowers. I wish I had thought to start taking time lapsed pictures of it all.

Hi there!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Your Wordy, um Wordlengthy, er, ah… Wordless (?) Wednesday [chuckle] is quite funny. Thanks for sharing. It looks like you’ll be a fun addition to the WW bloggers. And you’re a writer too; how cool is that!

Had to laugh at you cause I could very well be your country cousin. I also looked forward to Memorial Day as the first day the public swimming pool was open! We have always had the tradition of putting flags on the graves of the Vetrans and live near a small country church where this is still a very big part of life. Love your site and your cat picture made me laugh….I wanted to say it was the Cat’s pajamas but that would be stretching the truth and I never do that! (ha!) Come back frequently I think we must be from the same tribe and the same clan!

Wow, that was a cool painted cat. I guess he is going to wonder why everyone is talking to his a*s from now on…. *lmao*
(Great blog you got here, very personal style of writing. I love the top header (very unusual) and the comment boxes style too!)
